This is Ben, he is a very loving, goofy, large  shepherd puppy! Don’t let his size or distinguishing features fool you, he is stilly very much puppy at just over a year old! Ben loves to play with toys and definitely loves attention and pets. He has been responding well to training and is very eager to learn.  He knows sit, down, heel, and come (which he thinks is optional sometimes). He can still get excited when passing other dogs but he has gotten much better about sitting patiently to watch them pass.  Proper introductions with other dogs are a must with Ben and he does better off leash. Due to Bens large frame, he has had surgery to fix his elbow dysplasia, he does still walk with a little bit of a limp. Because of his health concerns Ben would do best in a medium activity house. He's not the type of dog to go jogging with, or do half day hikes. He definitely still loves to run, and will charm the pants off everyone he meets.  He has done good with kids that he has meet but would do best with older, respectful and is very gentle when he takes treats from your hand.  Ben has had a lot of fun playing with his foster sister, it did take some time for them to get used to playing with toys together, but now they play tug with each other all the time. Overall he is just a big gentle sweetheart that needs a home that’s willing to train him, and give him the same love back, that he gives out.
