German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Large Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.
Marlee is a very sweet girl looking for her happily ever after. She came to us as a transfer from another rescue, where she sat unseen for far too long. You see, Marlee is deaf, and she was born that way. But don't see that as a disability. She is very alert, curious and smart as a whip! She loves everyone she meets. She loves to play hard with her foster brother and will need a resident dog to help show her the ropes. She's smart and learns quickly and is very treat motivated. She knows some basic commands with hand signals and walks excellent on a leash. She is potty trained and has never had an accident in the house. She does well in the car and enjoys shopping at pet friendly stores. She is very dog friendly, but doesn't hear the warning growls from her friends when she oversteps her boundaries. Her new owner will need to closely monitor dog interactions to ensure everyone's safety. She can be a little protective of her food, crate and sometimes her people, but she is young and routine training will help curb those behaviors. Because she is deaf - she cannot hear her surroundings and is a flight risk. She will require a fenced yard. Marlee is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.
