Say hello to Taj!

Taj is 1.5 years old and still very much a puppy, with typical puppy behaviors including play biting and nipping. He was never taught good manners, but he is learning quickly how to be a good boy. He is a BIG dog but has no idea how big he really is, so kids under 10 as well as the elderly should be avoided since he could easily knock someone off their feet.  He loves his daily walks and is learning to heal, sit and stay. Taj requires someone with German Shepherd experience. He is a smart dog, but stubborn and will try to be the boss if not handled correctly. With proper introductions and time, he would do well with other bigger dogs in the home.  He has three dogs in his foster home to play with and is doing great! He would do very well with a female dog. Due to his size and puppy antics, Taj and small dogs would not do well together. He has not been tested with cats, but he has a high prey drive so we are saying no to kitties. Taj loves attention and stands very well for grooming. If no one is home, he should be kenneled. He likes his kennel and will head in there when told “Kennel up” or “It’s bedtime”  At times he does whine in his kennel and sometimes will howl, but it doesn’t last long before he settles down. Taj has had no potty accidents in his foster home. He really is a great dog who is looking for his perfect home.
Taj will be neutered on 09/14/22, we will be taking applications for him and processing while he recovers.
