This weekend we welcomed Maverick to the Saving Shepherds of MN family! We believe this big, handsome, goofy guy is related to Taj and possibly Daphne. They are such amazingly well behaved dogs with such good temperaments, we just know he’s going to be the same way!
Maverick is about 7 months old, good with everything so far, he did great getting his first bath and was a little bark-y meeting a couple of the resident dogs at his new foster home. They are taking things very slow, only introducing him to one dog at a time and spacing out the meetings to allow him to regroup before the next meeting.
Maverick loves to grab the leash and take himself for walks, and by walks, we mean pull you all over the place!! He’s so excited to see new things, he wants you to experience them all with him! He will learn leash manners soon enough! He is crate trained and goes in willingly, no accidents in the house either.
Stay tuned while we get to know more about this big guy. He still needs to be completely vetted before he will be ready for adoption.
We do know Maverick is a German Shepherd Dog / Belgian Malinois mix so we will be very selective about his future forever home!
