Deacon is ready to begin the search for the next best thing. Foster care is great, and so much better than that impound facility, but a last name and a forever home would be the bees knees!
Deacon loves absolutely everyone he meets - except the vet - that dude was clearly up to no good ✂️. But everyone else is a 10 in his book.
Deacon loves to be with his people, whether outside, sitting on the couch or riding in the car, he's just happy to have his humans.
Deacon is dog friendly and does ok with dog savvy cats. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is a food extraordinaire, but don't expect thorough reviews. We're pretty sure he hardly tastes whatever enters his mouth - it disappears so fast.
Deacon is a estimated to be about 7 years old. He is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and negative for heartworm and tick diseases.
His ideal home is adults only. He can be crotchety if touched in ways he doesnt appreciate, so handsy kids are a hard no for him. With proper training, he can do fine without a fence, but his nose often controls his brain, so a fence is ideal to make sure he stays home.
Deacon does have hip dysplasia. He gets around great and feels so much better now that he's on pain meds. He will likely need to remain on pain management for the rest of his life, but that's nothing abnormal for an aging dog.
