Hi..my name is Xena and I'm a 6 yr. old female that was surrendered to Saving Shepherds from a very abusive home.  I did my best to please my owner, but nothing I did was good enough so I was kenneled…a lot.  I was verbally and physically abused but I still love people.  Saving Shepherds and my fosters have taught me that there are people who love me and have kind words and soft hands to let me with.  I love feeling loved!  Saving Shepherds of Mn made sure I was all vetted and ready to go to my new forever, I can’t wait to make my new family proud of me!

Although I'm a little shy initially as I read your body language, I love everyone, including adults, kids, dogs, and cats...they are all my friends.

I am super laid back, however I don't especially like being left alone for very long and would do best with someone who is home more than not. I promise I am working on that with my foster Mom and she says I'm doing pretty well learning that my kennel is a safe place and not a place of punishment like it was before.

I love to go on car rides and am a really good leash walker. I even know several commands like sit, lay, shake, stay and heel (kind of…but I try!). 

Although not necessary, I think I would like a sibling, because I like to learn from other dogs.
